Diana Taylor es Profesora (University Professor) del Departamento de Estudios de Performance y del Departamento de Español y Portugués de la Universidad de Nueva York (NYU). Es la autora de Theatre of Crisis: Drama and Politics in Latin America (1991), libro que ganó el premio de Mejor Libro del New England Council on Latin American Studies y Mención Honorable del premio Joe Callaway para el Mejor Libro sobre Drama; Dissapearing Acts: Spectacles of Gender and Nationalism in Argentina's Dirty War, (Duke U.P., 1997); The Archive and the Repertoire: Performing Cultural Memory in the Americas (Duke U.P., 2003), libro que ganó el Premio ATHE de Investigación sobre Práctica y Pedagogía Teatral y el premio Katherine Singer Kovacs para el Mejor Libro sobre Cultura y Literatura Hispánica del Modern Language Association (2004).
